​New Customer Retainer

To secure your date on my cookie calendar, I require a non-refundable 25% deposit. This covers the time and supplies that go into prepping your order and officially books your spot.

• Please note: This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of a cancellation or change of mind.

 

Payment

The remaining balance is due when you pick up your cookies. I accept Venmo or cash. (I also accept checks if you are a returning customer).

 

Pickup Dates & Times

I’ll send an email confirming your pickup date and time when your order is officially on my cookie calendar. I’ll also send you a reminder and details before your pickup day arrives.

Local Pick-Up Only

All cookies are pick-up only in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rescheduled Events

If your event date changes, don’t stress! I can freeze your cookies for up to two weeks, and they’ll still taste great when you're ready for them.

 

Canceling an Order

I understand that plans sometimes change! If you need to cancel your order:

​

• The 25% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers prep time and ingredients already purchased.

• Since payment isn't due until pickup, there is no refund for the remaining amount because it hasn’t been paid.

 

However, cancellations made within two weeks of pickup leave me little time to fill that spot, and materials may have already been purchased or prepped. Because of this, multiple late cancellations may result in full prepayment for future orders. I appreciate your understanding and support of my small, one-woman cookie kitchen!

Character Cookies

I no longer offer cookies featuring copyrighted characters or themes. (This includes Disney characters, other cartoon characters, video game characters, storybook characters, etc.) However, I’d love to design a set inspired by your party theme, colors, or vibe!

 

Inspiration Pics

Inspiration photos (Pinterest, party invites, or décor) are so helpful to get a feel for your style! Just a heads up: I never copy other cookie artists or AI-generated images exactly. Every set I make is one-of-a-kind and always includes a dash of creative freedom.

 

Design Changes

Need to tweak your order? Minor changes can usually be made up to two weeks before pickup. After that, changes may not be possible, but feel free to reach out!

After You Pick Up Your Cookies

Once your cookies leave my kitchen, they’re all yours! Keep them at room temperature, away from heat or sunlight

Do not refrigerate the cookies. And handle with care to avoid cookie casualties!

 

Cottage Food Law

SomeCookiesBecause is a Nebraska-licensed Cottage Bakery. All cookies are baked in my home kitchen, which is not inspected by the Department of Health and may contain allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs).

 

Eat Cookies, Help Dogs

Here’s the best part: 100% of sales (not just profits!) are donated to senior dog rescue organizations at the end of the year. Every cookie you buy helps dogs who are looking for a second chance.
